After high school I plan to go to college and I plan to major in Biology and Chemical Engineering and minor in Foreign Language, and go to Dental school.

Orthodontist 
-Average pay: $196,270 
-Highest Salaries: New York, Georgia, Tennessee and Arizona 
-Lowest Salaries: Colorado, Washington, Texas and California 
-Education: Bachelor’s degree in science, Dental school and two to three years of port-graduate orthodontics training 
-Personalities: Patience, Communication skills, Realistic 

Dental hygienist 
-Average pay: $70,210
-Highest Salaries: Georgia, Iowa, Virginia 
-Lowest Salaries: Vermont, Washington, Ohio 
-Education: Bachelor’s degree in science, Dental school 
-Personalities: Patient and understanding, Positive 

Dental Assistant 
-Average pay: $34,500
-Highest Salaries: Georgia, New Jersey
-Lowest Salaries: California, Iowa  
-Education: Postsecondary non-degree award
-Personalities: Patient and understanding, Positive, honest

  1. it seems like you are really set on an education on dentistry. It's cool how the highest paid is the orthodontist himself.

  2. It sounds like all of them have pretty similar skill/ personality types. It's interesting that Georgia has the highest salary for all three, I wonder why that is. Lots of schooling for an Orthodontist, but definitely worth it! Good luck!
